With over a decade of experience, Rachel is dedicated to the client experience and firmly believes that one must listen well to effectively meet the needs of her clients. Rachel is people-orientated, creative at problem-solving, and excellent at negotiations. Rachel began her real estate career in 2005 managing Class A rental properties and has been a licensed Realtor® since 2007. Rachel remained successful during the recession as a new agent and was awarded The Realtor® Rookie of the Year by the Manhattan Association of Realtors® in 2009. She has years of experience in multi-family, residential sales, overseeing new construction, property management, and marketing, and is an Accredited Staging Professional.
Rachel moved to Austin from Phoenix and has lived in South Austin since 2013. She worked for a local developer before returning to residential sales full-time in 2019. For a little over six years, she worked in property management in the bustling zip code of 78704 and is very familiar with the South Austin neighborhoods. She oversaw the construction, lease-up, and development of a property management division for a local developer. She is committed to finding the perfect home for her clients and specializes in applying her expertise and market knowledge to the home-buying journey.
Rachel is a life-long student and loves learning. She studied abroad at the University of Paris-Sorbonne in 1999, with an emphasis on international relations, world religions, and other cultures. She is a graduate of Manhattan Christian College, with her Bachelor of Arts in Management and Ethics. Rachel also graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Kansas State University in Geography, Natural Resources, and Environmental Sciences, and earned the GIS Certificate. She is a past member of the Manhattan Konza Rotary Club, in which she held the Club Secretary position from 2009 – 2011, and is currently attending the South Austin Rotary Club of Austin.
Rachel is an active citizen of the local community and is involved with helping out at Sunrise Navigation Center, Urban Roots Farm, Keep Austin Beautiful, and Community First Village. Rachel enjoys traveling and adventure in her downtime. She can be found camping in one of the many gorgeous Texas State Parks or helping out locally in the greater Austin area. She has spent time in Amazonas, Brazil studying the rainforest and traveled extensively in southeast Asia working in multiple orphanages in Thailand, Cambodia, Burma, Laos, and the Philippines. Rachel has also made several trips to Israel and the West Bank in which she worked with the Palestinian refugees. She truly enjoys traveling and experiencing other countries and cultures.
Rachel believes in taking the time to connect and educate her clients about the buying and selling process, and in developing genuine lifelong relationships with them.
